Adjective/Adverb Test Re-takes
October 13, 2011 by K10ELLI · 2 Comments · Uncategorized
Just wanted to give a shout out to my little brainiacs! The test scores were outstanding and really made me day!!!
Originally, students didn’t score the way I’d anticipated. So, we reviewed and broke the test down in parts. We did it together. And it was AMAZING. I learned a lot of valuable information as a teacher and I think students appreciated the second chance to really show me that they understood these parts of speech.
Today we talked about why they think their re-do scores were so much better than the original score. It was helpful so I know what to change up for next year and how to approach future tests.
I’m super proud of what we accomplished in our class this week!

Weekly Writing
October 6, 2011 by K10ELLI · No Comments · Uncategorized
The Weekly Writing short story aassignment that was due tomorrow, 10/7, is no longer due. There were too many technical difficulties with the typewith.me site that students were directed to use to complete the assignment
I will still read the stories I can access, because I am curious about what was written. However, no grades will be posted in the gradebook.
There is no Weekly Writing assignment being assigned today, 10/6. I will assign the next writing piece next week on 10/14. It will be due 10/21.
